Bridging Communities, Building Understanding
JABA is dedicated to fostering unity, understanding, and collaboration between diverse communities. Rooted in the shared history of Jews and Blacks during the Civil Rights Movement, JABA seeks to rekindle the spirit of solidarity that once brought our communities together to fight for justice and equality. Today, we expand this vision to include people of all ethnicities, faiths, and backgrounds—because there is only one race: the human race.
JABA is committed to building bridges between communities through interfaith dialogue, cultural exchange, and shared experiences. By learning about each other’s stories, struggles, and values, we believe we can create meaningful connections that drive change and promote harmony.

JABA inspires understanding and action:
Community Gatherings: From barbecues featuring comedians to interfaith luncheons, we create spaces for connection, laughter, and dialogue.
Interfaith Visits: We visit each other’s churches, synagogues, and other places of worship to deepen our understanding of different traditions and build trust.
Educational Outreach: Partnering with colleges and universities, we explore the challenges facing our youth and collaborate on solutions.
Advocacy and Awareness: Speaking out against injustice, we empower our communities to address issues like antisemitism, racism, and inequality with a unified voice.
